KHP 2026-A-02: KHP Seeking Witnesses to Fatality Crash in Johnson County

The Kansas Highway Patrol is requesting the public’s help with information about a fatality crash that occurred on August 12, 2026, between 6:00 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. on northbound US-69 just south of 159th Street in Johnson County, Kansas. The crash involved a gold 2007 Kia Optima passenger vehicle and a silver 2021 Honda Accord passenger vehicle. The Kia collided with the Honda before overturning into the median.

If anyone has information regarding witnesses or knowledge of this crash, please contact Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper Ryan Schultz at 913-782-8100.

Any information, no matter how minor, may be valuable to the investigation.
