MoDOT TRAFFIC ALERT: Forward 44: Route 13 (Kansas Expy) North and Southbound Nighttime
Where: Missouri Route 13 (Kansas Expressway) north and southbound left lane Closures north of I-44 at the Route 13 and I-44 interchange in Springfield
When: 9 p.m. – 6 a.m. Monday – Friday, August 24 – September 24
What: Contractor crews will close the north and southbound left lanes on Missouri Route 13 north of I-44 at the Route 13 and I-44 Interchange in Springfield to collect core samples as part of the upcoming Forward 44 project.
This work is part of a larger effort to study and bring improvements to I-44. For the latest on work happening along the corridor, visit the Forward 44 website: Forward 44 | Missouri Department of Transportation.
Traffic Impacts:
- Missouri Route 13 (Kansas Expressway) north and southbound left lane Closures north of I-44 at the Route 13 and I-44 interchange in Springfield
- Crew and equipment close to traffic
- No signed detours; drivers are urged to find alternate routes
- Signs and message boards will alert drivers to work zones and inform the public when there are reduced speeds and traffic delays
- Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closures/traffic impacts
